Arthrostemma ciliatum is one of the 'Green Cancer' 'Purple Plague' family of plants in the Melastoma Family... same family w/ Melastoma, Tibouchina, Miconia, Heterotis rotundifolia, Heterocentron subtriplinervium, Koster's Curse, etc. etc.
the best stuff to kill it is called RoundUp/Glyphosate... aloha
