I got the renewal notices in December and I renewed them both online on December 22, including over $13 in "convenience fees" for saving them the trouble of having me stand in their line and renew them in person.
I never got the new registrations or stickers so I called them to inquire what to do next. The lady wasn't helpful at all, telling me I needed to go stand in line "and try to get duplicates". I don't want duplicates. I want the originals that they never sent me. She didn't care.
I have printouts from my online payment receipts, credit card statements showing the charges, etc so documentation shouldn't be a problem.
Has anybody else ever had this problem? Are they going to try and charge me more fees?
I have found the Kona DMV to be most helpful over the phone. YMMV
