Way to sanitize hot ponds/check bacterial levels?
#52
Some simple rules I have learned. Kupuna, or elders, especially local kine you give no crap. Keep mout shut, move along, taking advice to heart. You will always be tourist, no matter what in a locals eyes. Treat everyone with respect and kindness, it goes a long ways, even if they are calling you a Haole, get used to it. Learn to keep mout shut, eyes open and learn the ways of the island and forget "on the mainland...". Tourii wahini are scarce, as more than likely on honeymoon, with ohana, or on a tour bus as resorts are up Kona side, so spend the time absorbing the culture, etiquettes and history of the land you are in and let the island teach you.
