These jobs are not up every day, but a hand full a year do come up - if you have optical electronics, esp with PLC, the observatories usually have a couple of jobs a year...
PLC with diesel.... between the power plants & bio, usually there are a couple openings a year
Comp techs, have seen openings at the banks. resorts state & county... again a few a year...
It is not just about going on job search sites, since you gotta get yourself out there... join groups that have people with a broad range of backgrounds. Volunteering had helped in his job search, he even made a contact at the dog park..
These are jobs that come up, as current employees retire or move on, or as new position open up, so it is best to really get to know people in the fields HERE.... that is how DH acquired both of his jobs...people knew his skills & when a job opened up, he was one of the ones considered... but he found all of the jobs he applied for by doing the work of checking the ads & the company job sites of places he KNEW had jobs that he had the skills for... and applying for a lot of positions & going on a few interviews...
