In addition with the recent graduating class at UH Hilo and with public and private schools out for summer or close to end of the year, the jobs get scarce - even the high tech jobs.
One must be here and do the searching - some times can be weeks or months or another way if a person has the needed skills and back round be it in high tech or service industry jobs do exist.
Our ohana knows a woman through our church who had come from mainland and was homeless at homeless shelter for a year .She took low wage jobs prior to be hired at a entry level job in high tech .
Now 4 years later she is top manager with over 200 employee's under her.
So yes there are jobs here .
Patience is a virtue.
