After almost 10 yrs I still haven't gotten used to it. When we bought our lot, they weren't on Kaloli Pt yet. The following year they were. We used to catch the ones that were too close to the house, freeze them and lay them out on the lava for whatever to consume the next day. It seemed more humane than stepping on them. Remember the days when we'd sprinkle lime powder on the plant foliage in our yards?
