Robin, the Doc I've decided to go to gave me some recommendations for chiropractic care, which I thought I'd pass on to you...
She says that Dr. Nagareda in HIlo is gentle, does touch release kind of work. Michael Reams, in Puna is also gentle and good. Dr. Leight Ay Yo is gentle at Hawaii Physical Therapy on Waenuenue, but her male partner there is not.
This might just give you a few more options to check out.
