The spring / summer 2005 Hawaiian Acres newsletter is posted on the website lots of great info there, again find it at
http://www.hawaiianacres.org
Seems a main concern in The Acres is the Feral Pig population and what to do about it. After a little research I too am a concerned party they make quite a mess and are very difficult to get rid of. Some of the info as follows
http://www.rarehawaii.org/pigpage/pigs.htm
http://www.hawaii.gov/dlnr/dofaw/hunting...mregs.html
http://wildlifedamage.unl.edu/handbook/h...am_d65.pdf
interesting how they impact the mosquito population and how they spread the seeds of invasive plants. I would think they would share top billing with coqui frog for irradication measures.
