Watergardens- Putting Greens-Business?
#8
Hi Billie RC,
My lawn guy in Montgomery, Texas charged $25.00 to mow, edge, blow the grass off of the driveway and weedeat around the house, fence, shed and mailbox. HERE, on the other hand, the cost just for mowing and a little weed eating is more like $75-$100 a month and the favorite item is Roundup. Seems they would rather kill it than mow it (which really bugs me!!). My yard guy said that on the Kona side (about two hours from here...see folks, in Texas we measure by the amount of time it takes to get somewhere rather than the distance) some of those people pay over a grand a month to have their very small yards kept perfect. Can you imagine! Almost makes me want to buy a lawn mower and come out of retirement!! Anyway Billie if you are even half motivated, responsible and trustworthy you will do just fine over here. Just because there isn't a putt-putt or some fascimile thereof doesn't mean it wouldn't fly. We have have all kinds of tourists now and more and more people from various parts of the world moving here all of the time so who knows what the demographic might support; you just might surprise us all and make a bona fide killin' with putting greens or whatever. Stranger things have happended! Best of luck to you both and keep us posted on what y'all decide.
Aloha,
Pam..pj
