quote:It is a huge subdivision, and frankly I dont think that such small operation working, as well, with an imposible budget can tackle all the work that needs to be done. In my view we were all taken with promises that never added up.I would not want to be in their shoes honestly. I did have my share of ranting because of sheer frustration with the road association, I just think that they were a dud from the very beginning and nothing will ever change no matter who is at the helm. A small group of folks trying to manage a large association is just not doable. So ths very few that follow the association comings and goings are just spinning their wheels. The County should have never permited the subdivision plans without proper roads to sustain a potential large population. That is why, even although I do not hold my breath with Kim, I think that the bill to take over the road fees and maintenance is just the best and only posible outcome. I trust it will happen; Puna has the fastest demographic growth in Hawaii, and it cannot be ignored. So in the meantime a logical and respectful approach to the manager's office may just be the best thing available.

I reread your post and see you spoke with the general manager. I've heard similar stories. If you go into the office he shows up on your road. I don't think I'm alone on this. Why do we have to go into the office to get the crew to show up on our road?
