Aloha New to HPP...what you saw at the board meeting was typical w/this same cast of characters, some for over 3 yrs now. Enough of this nonsense and non transparency of OUR monies. It's amazing that many identify the blatant conflict of interest yet these majority board members say there is none. This isn't a healthy way of doing business as it affects all business negatively by causing mistrust.
Yes you can learn a lot by reading past board and membership meeting minutes and the HPP threads here on PT.
The current pres and VP have often said over the past 3 yrs, "Members don't matter, the board can do whatever they want"...OR "It doesn't matter that the membership voted, they're just advisory, we make the final decisions." Their 3 yr old mantra makes evident what their mission is and it's not in OUR best interests.
More often than not, anything the membership votes for gets squashed and there's absolutely NO reason to say NO, as they represent US. If the funds are there, if it's not adverse to our Articles of Incorp, our bylaws or state law, absolutely NO REASON to say NO. No forensic analysis for you!!! We voted for this in Oct 2017...5 mos later we voted for it at the Feb 2018 membership meeting and the majority board is stalling...the ballots are supposed to be mailed by April 11 to the entire membership.

If you see any reruns in this election from this board and you want change to what's been going on for the past 3 yrs.....
The Nominating Committee asked the board to secure the Activity Center to hold a "Meet the Candidates Forum" on April 29th from 6-7:30 PM. Hope to see you there!
