Local source for Barge Cement?
#13
Been busy with other things, just getting back to check on this.

@terracore
The boot I've used in its various forms through the years is now named " TPS 520 GV evo ".
It has a 1 piece, top-grain leather upper, is GoreTex lined, and runs about $350.
I purchase them through REI.
The newest edition does a bit of creative cutting and sewing in the ankle area, but is still a one piece, top-grain upper.

A one piece, top-grain upper is probably the most durable shoe/boot material.
One caveat, while checking around getting ready to buy my newest boots, I did see a few observations that the quality of workmanship [durability] on Asolo's newer boots has slipped.
I've had my newest iteration of boots for almost 3 years now.
I wear them a lot and abuse them.
The boots, especially the toes, are getting scuffed up, but are still in good condition, and could use some waterproofing/conditioner applied to them.

"I usually get things from eBay vendors a lot quicker than most other options, but they really are an option more for small items with less value when you don't mind taking a risk."
Exactly!

@RWR
my tubes of Barge Cement are in hand.
They arrived a couple of days ago.
I looked around eBay for All Purpose TF Barge Cement with the blue label in 4oz tubes.
Most were with in a few pennies of each other with free shipping.
I chose one in CA and placed the order for 2 tubes, almost $20, no hitches.
I do not remember which one it was now.
I don't thing it'll make much difference which one anyway.
Pick one and place the order.
If they accept it, you'll get it.
