Foodie web sites
#3
The value of eGullet varies widely among different locations, depending on the amount of activity in the area in which you are interested. (The Pennsylvania site is excellent if you are in Philadelphia, and almost useless if you are in Pittsburgh.) The Hawaii site is very limited, and most of what is there refers primarily to Honolulu.

I agree with John Dirgo; Big Island Grinds is the best site for Big Island food. Also worth noting is John Rabi's restaurant reviews on Konaweb at http://www.konaforum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=b70c758670cd8e26bb259dd17509bedc.

Here are a few other sites dealing with Hawaiian food and restaurants in general: http://freerangegourmet.com/, http://www.hawaiidiner.com/, http://tastyisland.wordpress.com/, http://maona.net/.
