SO2 and fruit trees?

I was looking at some of the aerial footage of Leilani. The winds are consistently blowing the winds southwest. The vegetation on the clean side of the air is all green and lush. Even right up against the lava.
The vegetation on the southwest side that didn't get burned is still brown and yellow, (dead). |
