Questions I have on the ballot counting process which started at 9 AM this morning....
1) Will Nanawale be using a master list for each district to compare names on the ballots they received? The Nominating Committee got no reply when rep Patrick Murdoch was questioned about this on more than one occasion.
2) Did anyone from HPP hand deliver ballots that they said were dropped off at the HPP office? If so, who delivered them and how many ballots were there?
3) Did anyone count the envelopes that contained the ballots on June 1? Murdoch said this was planned to "set the total number" of ballots. What was the purpose and who told Nanawale to do this?
4) What happened to the ballots "that were set aside" that arrived after June 1? Who set them aside?
The board was advised that ballots received after June 1 are valid and legit. The board mailed the ballots past the scheduled time per the bylaws, w/in AT LEAST 30 days of the election date of June 1. They were mailed either 3 or 4 May.
There was hope that perhaps Nanawale might write the tally of each district down, put them in one of their own envelopes, seal it, and hand it over to rep Leslie Blyth. She would open it at the same time the board received the official count from Nanawale, which is due tomorrow according to the bylaws. This would ensure the number wouldn't change from real time numbers to when the board announces the results.
