China hasn't found a way to get their spy ships up to MK unnoticed. 
It's not through lack of trying.
They just haven't been successful ... yet.
Here's recently declassified footage shot by Werner Herzog, of an early attempt to pull their spy ship (obviously) up an undisclosed valley on the Hamakua Coast:

Remember TomK, you're Big Island's last line of defense from Chinese spy vessels. Don't forget to look down occasionally, as well as up.
