I think kalakoa is quite serious. What isn't serious is any notion that our county (or state, for that matter) gives a whit about what the people have clearly mandated. By not spending the money, Harry Kim presents the extremely disingenuous concept that "all that money's just sitting there doing no one any good, so let me spend it on something I like better." How about telling whoever is in charge of acquisition to get off their ass and buy some property to preserve? Harry Kim can take patronization to a level the plantation owners never even attempted, and it's sickening.
