Carolanne - I'm giving a bit of thought to building a place in Belize (formerly British Honduras in Central America). If you think Hawaii has creepy crawlies that can haunt your dreams...
Belize has 8 species of venemous snakes. One is called the fer-de-lance, but locals refer to it as a Tommygoff. It has a very nasty disposition and will chase humans. I can guarantee you that no centipede will ever do that! And they have spiders. And scorpions. I don't know if they have centipedes or not. And I am trying to determine if there is a 'snake-free-zone' in Belize.
