I seem to recall reading in the SA that Southwest had to use an area at HNL on the end of the Diamondhead terminal that was set up for one of the now defunct interisland commuter carriers. That meant no jetways, but did allow for a relatively quick start. Can you imagine how long it would have taken to build complete facilities in the contracting cesspool that is HNL/Hawaii? 2025 if they were lucky.
