I have one of them. I haven't used it much at all. I'm just trying to run it a bit so I can change the first oil. I've never had a little generator before.
Pros: It is quiet and light. It starts easily. It puts out 119AC under no load and about 15DC. The voltages stay pretty steady.
I haven't done any electrical calculations to predict what it should run. I do know it won't run my Rival electric tea kettle, but it's 1500W. It will just barely run my 7.5A Dewalt Reciprocating Saw (sawsall) and my 7.8A Dewalt 1/2" Hammer Drill, if I start them slowly and allow it to power up. Otherwise the overload protection will shut it off. It doesn't always power up in time. That's if it's on economy mode. If not on economy mode it doesn't power up at all and the overload protection just shuts it off. I would have thought when not on economy mode it would run on high. Not so. It seems to run a tad faster on economy even with no load. Maybe that's all par for a generator of this size. I don't know.
It has one standard 120AC outlet. It also has one 12V outlet. It's a two pole outlet I'm not familiar with. Kind of an L shape outlet (l_). It comes with one set of pig tails that have motorcycle battery size battery clips. I called and they'll sell another set for $15 shipped. I'll do that if I can't find a like kind plug so I can make up my own set with a cig lighter plug and maybe one for USB.
The set has a primer bulb which is unfortunate. I asked about that when I called because they don't last. They currently have them in stock and didn't know if any other more common bulbs, like Ryobi or Echo, would fit. Oh well. Oh yeah, the manual says it takes 7.5 OZ of oil but it doesn't fill it. If you call they'll tell you to add 10.5 OZ, to fill it up into the filler like most other similar small engines.
Telephone tech support is surprisingly in O'Fallon Mo. They answer rapidly and transfer to their tech help person who tries but doesn't know much. They promise to check and get back to you with answers and do.
I'm wanting to use it for camping stuff. I'm hoping I can find a smaller electric kettle that draws little enough to work, if such is made.
I hope that helps.
