The DLNR NTP states construction will start between now and September 27th, 2019. The latter date is the end of the 2 year deadline to start
construction per the revised CDUP issued in 2017.
The permitting for the TMT isn't completely finalized yet. The Department of Health still has to issue a finalized NPDES permit. Yes, they provisionally extended it five additional years. However, DOH is still reviewing their renewal application. Next Tuesday will be pivotal date, as the DOH will be holding a public hearing in Kona regarding this permit renewal.
