Article about man w/rat lung disease from B.I.
#47
It is so very hard to pinpoint the source of an RLD(W?) infection. A neighbor thinks he may have gotten it from eating a cherry tomato direct from the garden. But with so many avenues of entry, who can say. I am going back to one micron in my filter system (I thought I read that fridge filters already filter down to 1 micron but have been unable to find that again.). I refuse to eat local greens. Someone on this forum --maybe more than one-- told about seeing a slug crawling on lettuce at Malama market. It is a tragedy -- with an appropriate amount of agricultural inspectors and a quick government response when something slips through, we would be able to grow lettuce and maybe even enjoy quiet at night.
