Access to Mauna Kea

Apologies if some think that this incident is not sufficiently related to the current thread, but I was recently informed by a colleague, who was leading a group of university students from the mainland on a geological field training exercise. They were confronted and harassed by a group of local young men while they were performing mapping exercises down at South Point. Along with demands to know who had given them permission to be there, they were threatened with having the Mauna Kea protesters come after them....

This is increasingly taking on the tone of ethnic gang violence and mob rule.
