"Ige and the state have now managed to say nothing and yet say a lot about how law enforcement costs will or will not be paid by the state. It's wishy-washy nonsense that says little but implies that the county won't be reimbursed law enforcement costs or they might, depending on whatever it is the state decides is access to the mountain or doesn't. Or something else that they might have implied or not."
" I think they have hired sir Humphrey from Yes Prime Minister"
Tom, one of my most favorite shows of all time!!
We do have a "civil servant" situation here in Hawaii but I doubt any could hold a candle to Sir Humphrey's wit! Never the less they are in control.
Rainyjim, you said my last post was doublespeak. Not to me it isn't.
Thru my eyes, the problem is not Tmt, might as well be TNT at this stage. The problem is our State & county Government.
They have played one branch against the other for so long .
We all are held hostage to this, we all pay the costs for their substandard jobs.
Look at the latest Hawaii State Supreme Court ruling regarding Pohakuloa. Is this not Mauna Kea revisited? Do I think that our State Government will uphold it's own ruling? Unfortunately not.
Does it Pis# off the Hawaiians and environmentalists? Of course it does.
