Behold the power of social media! Now I'm reading the protesters are claiming this shooting threat was really instigated by pro-TMT forces to make them look violent. Again with the back and forth in social media. Accusations of lies from both sides.
Whatever the case may be, whenever there is a contentious issue both sides accuse the other of many of the same things. For example both say the other is racist. One side says the other is anti-haole. The other side says TMT is racist because it's not yielding to the beliefs of an indigenous downtrodden people. Same with bullying. Pro-TMT says they are being threatened with physical violence while anti-TMTs say they are being threatened by legal physical force from police or NG. Which side is right? I'm just a bystander and really don't care if they build TMT or not but to me it seems one side is playing the victim here. Is there any truth to the pro-TMT belief that the majority of kanaka support TMT or is this just propaganda as some say?
Just a few rambling thoughts on this complex issue.
