If I'm understanding correctly, the bus hub would be right across the street from the high school. While this may be helpful for some students ( depending on the timing of the trips to various subdivisions ), wouldn't the noise and fumes of busses coming and going all day long create another problem ? Last time I looked, the classrooms that would directly face the hub all had their louvers open - no air conditioning.
Another question: If someone took a feeder bus to the hub, and then wanted to do into 'downtown' Pahoa, they would have to walk along that curved section of road by Paul's Repair/ gas/minimart. There is no sidewalk in that area, but plenty of traffic. And when it rains, people walk on the road to avoid puddles. Is this another accident/lawsuit waiting to happen ?
