fwiw, most up there didnt know much about native plants... and still dont!
they were trying to keep people form trampling invasives ie knotweed and fireweed.. yet didnt make much effort in "PROTECTING" an endemic critically endangered species that was being pulled from the trees on puu huluhulu and killed... the 'anunu vine (Sicyos Macrophyllus)...
