Just found out about “ili” state reporting. Influenza like illness.
“A patient with ILI must have the following: a fever (temperature of 100°F [37.8°C] or greater) AND a cough and/or a sore throat without a known cause other than influenza. ILI is based on reported symptoms and not laboratory confirmed tests; thus, ILI may represent other respiratory pathogens and not solely influenza.”
Chart showing Hawaii ili cases unusually high. 59% of cases out of 1600 flu tests came up negative for flu but showing ili. Sure would be nice if they could test for covid........
Cases of patients going in for ili spiking over last couple weeks, higher than in the states.
US, as of last night has done approximately 500 covid test nationwide since the outbreak in December.
