quote:I have to say that a majority of your posts perpetuate pessimist propaganda. Through my observations the roads in HPP aren't being maintained to the level they used to be. The previous general manager and road crew did a better job. When was the last board of director meeting you attended, if any? How many HPPOA lot owners are there? There's the problem right there! I have no beef with you Chunkster but that attitude leaves no room to complain if you're uninvolved. At least a couple of directors tried to get the road fees deferred. My hats off to them.

You all know of course that this and all the other HPP threads are like that awful car wreck we know we should hurry past, but just have to slow down and look at anyway. If I've learned anything from all this it's that the key participants on both sides are vindictive, stubborn, unreasonable, and at times even irrational. I foolishly thought that the pandemic might actually shift your interest to something less crazy, but I should have known better. Most of you don't really care about anything but getting your way.
The system is broken, and the courts probably won't fix it. Meanwhile, my road is being decently maintained as are others I've driven lately. A friend two roads over called the office the other day, and they arranged for an animal carcass and a junk car to be removed within 24 hours. I've called the office myself to ask some questions, and I was treated cheerfully and respectfully. At some point results matter most.
