Swimming pool chemicals
#1
OK finally got my 1200 gallon pool delivered and set up, and after two trips to that pool place across from Kens (once after 4pm another time on Sat—both closed), I got a pool “kit” at HD. Ph looked ok (7.6+), chlorine good but “light”, but acid test made no sense to me (“add three red drops, two blue drops, swirl Hold and how orange is it?”) and now the bottom Of my pool is getting a little “slimy“ It has not been up a week.
Given I’m in lower HPP, concrete catchment, full sun, what, in general, must I (probably) get To keep it good to swim? Can I use salt w a regular filter or get special (my pool manual doesn’t state). I know there will be all kinds of typos (too much writing, too small screen, too fat fingers). Forgive me I just want to swim.
