regarding land use / land classification / zoning - in HB specifically - if you have a lot over 10,000 sf you are allowed to apply for an "ohana dwelling" permit. It takes some work as you have to notify neighbors within 300' that you are applying and you need to add 2 parking spaces for the "ohana" and a few other things As the planning dept rep told me yesterday - land use and land classification are not in sync.
This happens to be specific to HB, not HPP or Leilani or some of the other subdivisions. I didnt ask about HSRE, or HS.
