If you cut a branch off a large Hala tree can it be replanted? Grown into a new tree? Maybe with root tone ?

I posted this in Farming and Gardening. got lots of views but no replies , so I'm posting here. Hope someone knows. I have some big trees that I want to prune and wondering if the branches will root in after cutting.
