I would also like to add a story from years ago of our rescue Red Queensland Healer that escaped as we were putting her in our yard for the first time at her new home. She was gone for nearly four months with people calling in with sightings all over our small town in the Eastern Sierra of California. We finally got a call on the fourth of July when a family that had been miles from town out by themselves had a dog run under their car to "escape" the noise from fireworks. We were happily able to get there and coax her out of her hiding spot to take her home. She was thin, dirty, and covered in ticks but was otherwise healthy. Don't give up hope and please call Babbs Fry for advice.
