Who cares? By my reckoning, the humbug, if there is any, is with the one who is so insecure as to have a problem with them. Isn’t that more an issue than otherwise? Isn’t this really about control freaks and how absurd it is for them to try and control others on internet forums?
Like, if Rob wants to play control freak it’s his to do, after all, he pays the freight. But for anyone else, unless empowered by Rob, isn’t it just silly, a waste of time? Isn't it all about those that are so insecure as to need to control others when they don't conform to their liking? Really, who cares, other than those who like to spend their time bullying other people?
And this is from someone who has openly admitted to using sock puppets while in the past denying that he does. He deletes posts that contain some really disgraceful comments and suddenly reappears under a new identity. It's a clear attempt to rewrite history and start with a nice clean slate. Except they post the same URLs to their own website and even when they stop doing that can't help but use the same language they used in the past. Finding them is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Normal people don't use sock puppets because they don't need them. Instead, it's those that are incapable of supporting their arguments, insecure because they don't have supporters and therefore create their own fans using sock puppet accounts. In some cases, they'll even pretend to be someone else entirely, and even attempt to impersonate someone with which they have a disagreement.
It's been going on for years and the sock puppet will almost always give themself away.
As for bullying, you have to be joking. The person using several sock puppet accounts in order to shout down someone's argument is far more bullying than a person sticking to one account and making sensible arguments. You have to be seriously deranged to think that posting something that you disagree with is bullying.
