I can only tell you about my own experiences of using the leaf of the noni for sciatica. I had it chronic for two years. and applied the leaf topically. After two nights, I never had sciatica again. It really works. Well, it worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, you might want to see if there are underlying things that may be causing your pain. I have a friend whom the noni leaves didn't work completely on because she has scar tissue build up from paddling canoes all her life. Yes, it definitly helps with sciatica or in my case all together rid me of that ailment believe it or not. Mangosteen is great but it costs alot of money. Noni is free if you can grow it. Journalist don't always take the information right. It says I put it on my hips not the case. I put the leaf on my lower back, shiney side down after softening over a fire or stove. It's frustrating when they don't right down the correct information. Noni is also an excellent hair conditioner. Hawaiian lomi lomi and yoga will probably be helpful when you are not in so much pain. but if you have alot of pain, use the noni leaves first to soften the muscles. It's also great to throw noni leaves in a hot tub.
