Hula Puna
#2
Glen, Uncle Billy's has a nightly Hula show:

It is nice to walk their grounds, on a beautiful clear day, the view of the bay & Mauna Kea are breath taking.
The festivals in Hilo are definately the best Hula - You are missing George Na'ope Kane Hule Festival March 1-3, and of course Merrie Monarch April 7-14
http://www.merriemonarchfestival.org/abo...tival.html
and the Aloha Festivals from late August through late September, with the mass hula at the Queen Lili'uokalani Festival with the aerial flower drop being an experience that must been seen

Also the Hula Kahiko up on the hula platform overlooking Kilauea crater is a very intimate and spirit filled performance

(go to performance, then to Hula Kahiko.)I do know there there are a couple of haluas that practice at the Old Gym at the University, just don't have a clus what the schedules are, but it is fun to watch them practice.
Aloha, Carey
