If we ever experience an invasion around our home, I'd use large cages to relocate captives.

Why would you release an invasive animal you captured, that's so destructive to the environment, anywhere? I doubt it would be difficult to find some family that would be delighted to turn the pigs into barbeque.

Also note: If you have a bolt or lever action .22 rifle you can get .22 CB Longs that are as quiet as a pellet gun. They're not as accurate as a quality pellet rifle and have a fairly limited range but are a much cheaper option if you already have the .22 rifle. They can also work in some semi-auto rifles but you have to hold the bolt closed with your thumb and then cycle manually.
