When I first started to consider a move to the Big Island, it seemed that this sub was the best deal for the buck. After I drove around to check out some parcels (saw rooster farms, junk cars with bullet holes and rutty water-filled roads), I have refined my ideas somewhat. With an agent, I viewed a beautiful home, fenced, cleared with pasture, on a paved road and stream alongside, but out of my price range. This sub is like a patchwork quilt!
Some live in shipping containers, others have palaces. You'll have to check out the 'hood before you buy. Privacy will be easy there, I believe.
