Yup Dave my sediments exactly, small town thing. I grew up in East L.A. (nough said ?) However, I moved my family to Joplin Misery (no ocean) in 1984. It took me about five years to adjust to the small town life. Especially for so many years once I said i was from California, it set a plague on peoples thoughts about me. Out there they call it "The good ol'boy" system. In the first few years I had thoughts about plagiarism and incest, but that's not really the case. Most people grew up with each other and learned to forgive their short comings.
Out here they call it "Cousin", it is no different than the "Good ol'boy" system.
Kathy, I haven't tried calling the police about trespassing, and don't expect much from that, not here nor anywhere in the U.S. I did call them when they were harassing me on the mainland and the police were very friendly compassionate and anxious to file charges. However, what few brief person to person encounters I've had with them here, were unsatisfactory, very. Not filing a complaint but just plain arrogant behavior. Once in particular, asking for directions at the kaau station, they were rude, short coming and borderline abusive.
Carrie, and Dave, awe heck your comments made me eyes water.
Be warned though, I am not sure if it's just me and me wife, but some of her songs get stuck in you mind after listening to em a few times.
