We found out the euphorbia we are thinning out is Euphorbia lactea & much of the base looks like this:

with a lot of old crusty crests & some newer & nice, some with ruby highlights on the top of the crest.
The bulk of the plant looks more like:

I am starting to thin out today, & it is best to let the cuts cure 1-2 weeks, so they will be ready to plant in a week or so. Does anyone want some cuttings? Some friends in HPP planted a bunch of cuttings as a natural thorn hedge to reduce kids & pigs coming into their land.
The latex is irritating & can cause blisters if left on the skin too long (got one today, why I'm in & on the computer), but only a problem when trimming the thing. (ours is taller than the house & near a street corner, so really should be way shorter).
