Green, that's pretty funny...last November I camped at Spencer the night before a "maintenance day" as well. Same deal with the golf cart lady - but in the morning she was back around 6:30 AM telling everyone to pack up and go asap because there had been an earthquake off the coast of Japan and could be a tsunami. It was pretty crazy then... People were throwing their half-dissasembled tents into their cars, screaming at their kids and flying out of the parking lot. Turns out there was never a tsunami warning...I guess it's good to be safe though, and I was definitely ready to leave. The fact that everyone has to pitch their tents all close together right there in the open area in front of the bathrooms (with the bright lights on all night)made me feel like I was at a chaperoned girl scout camping trip. Too bad the County parks don't provide a better camping experience.
