""public schools in Hawaii will never improve if parents that care choose private schools""
Hi Puna Girl,
You're so right in that statement, and I hear the same thing hear in our area. My son has been in Montessori school for the last two years and will be starting elementry school (Montessori)this coming fall.
Here's the deal, I only have one son, one shot.. I can't risk it, understand I totally agree with you but I can't gamble that one shot.
I really wish $$ it wasn't that way but there it is. In most cases it's not the kids, it's the parents. I'm very active in my community, in doing so I know most of the people, and their "lifestyles" for lack of a better word and I don't think I can change them.
It might be different there but nothing I've seen are read would lead me to believe so.
Johnnycake,
Did your son go to the Montessori school in Pahoa?
Take care,
dave
