Asian Food Stores in Hilo/Puna

The woman who makes the fantastic green papaya salads at Maku'u market mentioned that you can get the Thai shoyu that she uses at an Asian market in Hilo. It wasn't one of the chains. Of course, the medium spicy salad I had subsequently burned the name of the store from my memory.
There's a Filipino market in Kea'au on Old Volcano Rd. Haven't been to it, though. |
