Stan, be very, very careful with this. Carey makes a lot of sense. I strongly suggest that you consult an experienced tree service for the safety of yourself and your property. Unless you are experienced with large trees, it can be very dangerous. If this thing is anywhere near your house, somebody with good insurance needs to do it. I would ask to see the policy and call the insurer to make sure it is in force and covers all possibilities of property damage or personal injury.
