Weedwhacker?

Having just moved into HPP, I am looking at the best way to trim walkway paths in our property. The previous owner had one of those DR Trimmers and thought it was the best tool for the job. I was wondering what the rest of you think. It will be used mainly for 3' paths in the yard, and the edges along the property. Thanks for your responses.
