Nanawale Question
#4
Have you driven around the sub? I checked on Mapquest today and found out Mayzee Rd. was close to the beginning of the sub, so you may have county water there. Its only 5 blocks long, on the west side of the sub's "main drag", Nanawale St itself. I did drive on it, just didn't know its name. I don't think I saw many homes on it, mostly uncleared lots. The Where to Move page says there is a neighberhood watch.
John, you're right about the waiting list. I'd hoped that an older home may come with its existing mailbox, but apparently, each tenant/owner must start afresh? I wanted to send some stuff over and pick it up when I fly in (in Aug) but they claim I need to apply in person to even get a PO box! So I fly with my sleeping bag and cooler? (It'll take 2 days to get the power turned on - so I buy ice, too, and a grill?) Arrgh!
