OK, so you took my advice and got the margarita machine for your palapa. Good.

Now how in the world, after obsessing quite some time over catchment water, did you end up buying a house with a catchment system that you don't understand the first thing about? Did you think to ask what sort of pump you had or where it was before you bought the place?
