No, I said it takes a certain personality to derive joy from doing such a thing. It is, of course, impossible to read the mind of the officers who are performing these flyovers, much less draw a conclusion about their individual emotional state.

I think the local officers are just performing a well-paying job.

But it takes a certain personality -- a rogue-- to buzz someone's property for no reason.

I don't know how often that happens. I just know that these flyovers are a tremendous waste of money, resources, and most importantly, officers' time that could be better spent on tackling more important law enforcement issues in Puna.
