wow, thanks for the replies everybody. Malls, I think that has been in fashion for a few years now for safety reasons. I use to take my kids to Kahala Mall and do one pass through ground level, then we'd hit the Kahala neighborhood or our own the Kapahulu, Kaimuki area.
I realize kids get "jacked up" for a few holidays, Xmas, Halloween, and Birthdays. So I try my best not to let them down when these times arrive. I also realize that Puna is not gonna have the Halloween neighborhood traffic that Honolulu has or even a fraction of homes passing out goodies that Honolulu does. For me, "no biggie". But my kids that could be a different story, especially for the 8 yr old who's use to seeing a festive Halloween.
Gang, I try to make my kids happy at every turn if I can. To me life is just to short not to enjoy it to it's max! To see my kids happy, makes me profoundly happy too. So I really appreciate all your responses about Halloween....thanks huh!
