politics are terrible in Hawaii! Working down on the beach in Waikiki, I'd come into contact with these jerks from both sides of the isle. Mufi has this terrible sister who demands free rooms from the Big Hotels in Waikiki just because her brother is governor! I had a three month battle to keep my left leg because of that bastard!
At the end of the day, it's obvious that money runs the state. Why else would they even consider a special session for HSF? The legislature has the authority to create any law they see fit, but it is wrong to change the law merely to satisfy one business, right?
But my main concern is safety for the sea life mammals, Humpbacks, Dolphins, etc,etc..and of course the enviornment. When Hawaii had the Hydro foil back in the 70's, it hit several humpbacks and their calves. Even one of the hydro foils caught fire too out at sea.

I'm not sure why, but this video brought a tear to my eyes. To see the state so divided over HSF is terrible. Notice in this video, it's the surfers who protest the HSF. These are the people who really love the ocean, I know I'm one of them! The people who support HSF tend be local residents who are looking for cheap transportation between island and who could care less about the envionmental impact the HSF may cause our islands. Lingle wants to boat to run, and I hope it ends her political career in Hawaii!
The HSF came here at a cost of 200 million, and they decided(Lingle & co.) that they'd try to slip the HSF under the radar? Plus as they said in video Kahalui Harbor needs 40 million dollars worth of renovation just to dock that beast there.
